It was in 1962, just 9 years after Chevrolet introduced the Corvette, its first 2 seat, but underpowered, sports car. It was designed by GM's bright and hard driving Harley Earl, a man who would become a design legend. But now, GM's chief engineer, Zora Arkus-Duntov, replaced the original straight 6, 3 carb, 150 hp truck engine with auto tranny in the '53 model, with a small block V-8, and linked it to a 3 speed manual tranny in a new, lightweight, Grand Sport Corvette version. Presto! Instant success! VVAROOOM never felt so good!!!
This 1950's gas pump stands 33 inches tall and is made of durable stamped steel construction. It's ideal for any car enthusiast young or old, whether in the children's bedroom, the family den or on the playground with the kid's favorite pedal toy. A real rubber hose, authentic graphics and a movable lever only add to the fun.
Young boys and girls on their big wheels or pedal cars will love Corvette’s 33” high 1950’s gas pump! It is sharp silver and black with speedy race flags adorning its globe and body! Rubber hose and moving crank add realism. Place this eye-catcher anywhere! For ages 3 and up.
